Maine Elementary School - 3rd Grade, 25 Students: Create a custom magnetic locker wallpaper pattern incorporating the school colors as well as reusable magnetic name tags featuring positive affirmations.
Materials Used
Magnetic Locker Wallpaper: We used letter size printable magnetic sheets and printed six pieces cutting each down to 7.5 x 8.75 inches and labeling them so the pattern could be easily matched up and fit the 15x35 inch back locker wall.
Magnetic Tags: Using the same magnetic sheets, we created tags that were 4 x 11.5 inches, printing two tags per sheet.
Inspiration & Process
The elementary school colors are green and royal blue. Coincidently, these are the same school colors of Liza's childhood elementary school! The Teacher wanted a patterned background for the magnetic wallpaper. Given the age of the students, we decided to keep the design fairly simple so it would resonate with the kids. Some of the pattern options presented included paint brush strokes, spilled paint, simple abstract patterns and polka dots. Initially we were going to do an inspirational magnet set. However, the Teacher mentioned that each year she puts up laminated locker tags. If we created magnetic ones, she could reuse them each year! The affirmations were incorporated into the tags using school colors & fun fonts.

Student's First Locker: Create custom locker decor that is functional and cute. Primary goal was functionality and keeping student organized. It was important to create personal elements and create a sense of safety in a new school. Accessories included Light Up Letter, Adjustable Locker Shelf, Mini Basket, Magnetic Dry Erase Board Frame, Magnetic Pen Holder. All items should coordinate with chosen magnetic locker wallpaper pattern.
Materials Used
We used a high quality PLA Filament (Polylactic Acid) in a variety of colors, adhesive magnetic tape, glue and wood. The Light Up Letter and Adjustable Locker Shelf were completely new items designed and created specifically for this project. For the Light Up Letter, we 3D Printed a letter with removable snap in place front panel. Inside, we hid fairy/string lights incorporating a switch on the bottom of the letter for easy on/off functionality.
Inspiration & Process
Prior to launching PictureThisPasadena, I researched the existing products on the market. I found many pre-made locker kits are made in China to keep costs down. However, the quality on these products is staggeringly bad. Buying high quality items individually can be costly. Our goal was to keep costs down by 3D Printing everything in-house. This lets us control the colors, quality, design and make any tweaks along the way. We always start the process with our magnetic locker wallpaper. The chosen pattern & placement dictates what colors and textures we want to incorporate in the 3D Printed Accessories. Next, we decide on the type of shelving - such as adjustable versus magnetic floating mini shelf. Lighting is next, followed by accessories such as a magnetic mirror, dry erase board, pen holder, mini basket and optional magnet set.

# Stickers
Unique Art Stickers: Anyone living in California understands the power of a poppy flower. The goal here was to create a beautiful sticker set honoring the California Poppy. I did not want them to be cartoonish, but rather look like mini art posters, something a person would proudly display in a sticker album, or give out in a gift bag at a sophisticated event.
Materials Used
These stickers are printed using my inkjet printer on high-quality vinyl sticker paper. They are water resistant. I use a four layer sticker vinyl including substrate, printable vinyl layer, adhesive and back liner sheet. Our stickers use Polypropylene plastic substrate material, rather than the more common PVC, because it is lightweight, durable and chemical resistant allowing for a smoother print. The vinyl layer is designed to work with water based inks preventing smears. The adhesive in our stickers is water based and non-toxic.
Inspiration & Process
I remember where I was the first time I ever saw an orange California Poppy. The delicate, uniquely shaped petals, and cheery bright color are mesmerizing. The moment I became aware of AI generative technology, something clicked in my happy place! I designed these stickers using AI Technology and graphic design tools. I custom write and fine tune all of my prompts to get inspirational images, then I will bring the parts of the image I like into a graphic design software program and add text, create the layout, and color scheme. I understand there is some controversy in the art world over AI generated art. I think the solution is to remain transparent and use it in conjunction with graphic design skills. This collection has spawned 2 additional poppy themed sticker collections in our shop.

I have always wanted wallpaper for my lockers at work and school but like when you search for it online, the designs are like so bland and honestly expensive. I came across this artist/creator and fell in love with the designs. The price is very reasonable. The quality of the magnetic wallpaper for the locker is absolutely beautiful and quality. I was kind of scared of the designs being like blurry, ya know that blurry print BUT it is beautifully printed and true to the design. In love how intricate and unique the designs are.
